In your professional opinion, is it bad to hold planks longer than 30 seconds? If so, why please.
Not bad, but I’d wouldn’t call it good. There are far better uses of your training time than doing more of something you’re already good at. It’s kind of like repeating first grade over and over. Life is movement, so any exercise program that could be called effective must train movement – and not the absence of it.
Planks are good for developing core strength and “coordinated stability” where the entire body must work together to create stability. Once this minimum ability is achieved, the most effective use of your training time is to get moving.
