You’ve made a wonderful choice to become an integral part of the health and fitness of others. An ACE Personal Training certification offers both academic and practical knowledge to prepare you for working with a broad spectrum of clients and assures the public that you are a trained professional with skills based on scientific principles. ACE is one of the foremost fitness industry leaders and has a number of resources to help you get certified. As you begin studying for your certification exam, ACE will be there to support you through the process, answering any questions that you may have and offering a variety of learning opportunities and materials to help you successfully pass.

One of the best places to start would be to visit the ACE website. There you will find step-by-step instructions on the certification process along with all the available study packages. I personally found the materials to be extremely helpful during my certification process-especially the practice tests. They are also always adding new study tools and resources, such as ACE Academy Elite, which is an interactive, video-led study experience.

One of the other great things about ACE is accessibility. You can always call and talk directly with one of their Education and Certification Consultants at (888) 825-3636. From there they can further guide you to determine the best study package/materials to fit your individual needs. They also can help point you to the many free resources available on the ACE website, such as the Exam Preparation blog and Study Coach.

As you begin exploring the world of fitness, you will likely find that most people view their fitness level as “a work in progress.” All of us have areas that we would like to improve upon; and that drive towards better personal fitness helps us understand the struggles that our clients face. One of the most important qualities of a personal trainer is compassion. It’s something you can’t study for, but certainly lays the groundwork for becoming a wonderful fitness professional and an asset to your clients.
